What is PHSA
PHSA in full the Provincial Health Services Authority is a publicly owned and funded health service provider based in the province of British Columbia. PHSA is unique in Canada since it is recognized as the only health authority having a province-wide mandate mainly for specialized health services. Within British Columbia, the First Nations Health Authority is highly dispersed and non-regional. The five other health service authorities in the British Columbia province have regional jurisdiction. Health services are generally provided directly via the PHSA agencies or by the funding or collaboration together with the regional health authorities.
The PHSA manages and operates several well-recognized specialized health services and programs, such as the following:

– British Columbia Centre for Disease Control
– British ColumbiaChildren's Hospital and the Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children
– British Columbia Emergency Health Services (together with programs such as BC Ambulance Service and the BC - Patient Transfer Network)

– British Columbia Transplant
– British Columbia Women's Hospital and Health Centre
– Cardiac Services British Columbia
– British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV and AIDS (together with the partnership with the UBC and Providence Health).
How does PHSA work
PHSA plays a major and unique role in British Columbia's health authority system. Particularly, in order to ensure that British Columbia residents have access to a specialized and coordinated provincial network of high-quality health-care programmes and services. PHSA works in line with the health-care professionals and BC's health authorities to help improve access for customers, mainly to develop evidence-informed practise closer to where most people live. Also, PHSA aims to improve and effectively promote health, monitor and operate chronic conditions and also to reduce the burden of illness.
PHSA staff, leaders, and health professionals continuously try to seek system-wide improvements together with an emphasis on health promotion, prevention, and protection, started from conducting ground-breaking research to training next health professionals to setting province-wide standards to offering top-notch, and compassionate patient care.
PHSA provincial services and programs
PHSA health programs offer services and care via its specialized hospitals and health centres throughout British Columbia, such as British Columbia Children's Hospital and British Columbia (BC) Cancer. PHSA is also responsible for specialized health programmes and services, which are promoted across the BC province in partnership with regional health authorities, such as trauma, cardiac, stroke, and perinatal services. Via the BC Emergency Health Services, the PHSA supervises the BC Ambulance Service and Patient Transfer Services.
How to access PHSA webmail
Before you log in to your PHSA webmail note that, if you are with PHC or VCH, then a remote access token will be required for you in order to access your PHSA Webmail. To obtain a remote token, you should follow the Microsoft token registration step by step guide and log-on help instructions that you will find on the home page of PHSA Webmail login. However, if you are with your PHSA, then a remote token is not required to access your Webmail – here you will only need to log on to PHSA Webmail by using your PHSA and username.
Here you can follow a step by step guide on how to access and log in to your PHSA Webmail account:
Step 1 – To begin with, go to the official website of PHSA at www webmail health bc org /my policy you. After that, you will need to enter your email address or domain. Also note that:
– If you use a Microsoft token, then you have to log on with your email address.
– If you use a Microsoft token with VRHB domain, then you will need to enter your VCH email address but replace @vch.ca with @vrhb.org.
– If you use a SafeNet token, then you need to log on with domain and/or username.
Step 2 – After that, you will have to enter your password.
Step 3 – That is all, once you fill our these two required fields, click on the “Log on” blue button and follow the on-screen instructions.
