What does ah4rent mean?
Ah4rent is a shortened name for the American Homes 4 Rent which is a publicly owned entity, a real estate investment trust. The company is founded by B.Wayne Hughes (who is also the founder of Public Storage) eight years ago, on October 19, 2012. The American Homes 4 Rent is based in Calabasas, California and invests in single-family rental homes. It is headquartered in Calabasas, California, the U.S. As of December 31, 2019, the ah4rent company owned around 52,552 homes in total throughout 22 states within the USA.
The largest concentrations of the ah4rent are recognized in Atlanta (with 9.3 per cent of total homes), Dallas-Fort Worth (around 8.4 per cent of total homes), and in Charlotte, North Carolina (with around 7.2 per cent of total homes).
The American Homes 4 Rent (ah4rent) company was one of the first large public businesses, or let's say companies to start investing heavily in single-family homes, by following the entry of The Blackstone Group right into the field in 2012. An approximate number of early funding for the ah4rent company included around $600 million investment received from the Alaska Permanent Fund. Later, in August 2013, the ah4rent company became a publicly-owned industry through an initial public offering. Three years later, in March 2016, the ah4rent company merged with American Residential Properties, Inc.
How to log in to ah4rent?
To login to the American Homes 4 Rent (ag4rent) website, you will need to follow the step by step guide given below:
Step 1 – Go to the following link or enter the site into your web browser’s search engine. Here is the official website of the company: www ah4r com.
Step 2 – Once you open the website, move your mouse cursor on the right top side of the screen. Here, you will see two options, sign up and login buttons. In this case, you should click on the login button.
Step 3 – As soon as you press on the Login button, a pop-up window will immediately appear in the middle of your screen. It asks you to choose between two options. You can either click on the “Make Payment or Continue with Application or Renewal” or “Shop for a new home or Raise a Service Request” button. The choice depends on your needs and desires (see image below).
Step 4 – If you right-click on the first, “Make Payment or Continue with Application or Renewal” option, you will see another pop-up window informing that you are being taken to the ah4rent secure payment portal, at RentCafe. Here you will have to use your RentCafe login and password, which you had created when you first started your lease. Note that it is separate from the login that you use to submit service requests.
Step 5 – After a few seconds, the site will automatically take you on a new web page at ah4rent RentCafe, which is your Secure Payment Portal And Lease Document Hub. Here you should enter your email address and password, then click on the Sign-in button.
However, if on Step 3, you decide to click on the second option “Shop for a new home or Raise a Service Request”, you will be taken to a different web page. By doing so, after a few seconds, you will be redirected to a login page, where you should enter your username and password. Then click on the login button. If you cannot remember your password, you can click on the “Forgot password” button (see image below) and wait for the system to take you to a password reset page.
Here, you will need to enter your valid email address. Once you do so, the system will send you a recovery link to your email address. You should check your inbox and follow the link to proceed with the password recovery process.
How to register on the ah4rent portal?
If you do not have an account to access your American Home 4 Rent (ah4rent) portal, then you should first create your account. How to do it and where to start?
